November 2020 Fonthill Astronomy Weekend.

Twenty two members of the Society gathered at the Fonthill Farm Stay accommodation for a successful astronomy weekend. There was a full program of daytime events, presentations and informal discussions followed by evening viewing and astro-imaging. The weather was not kind to us with all Friday evening viewing cancelled due to heavy cloud. A gap in the clouds on Saturday night revealed the pristine dark skies and members thoroughly enjoyed their time under the stars.

As usual our hosts excelled themselves with abundant healthy food, clean and comfortable accommodation and good cheer.

September 2021 Fonthill Astronomy Weekend

An enjoyable and informative weekend was had by all who attended. Unfortunately, the weather was poor with both Friday and Saturday evenings clouded out preventing night sky viewing and astro imaging. Several hardy souls who awoke at 3.00am on a very cold Sunday morning were rewarded with crystal clear skies. The day time workshops and social activities and the wholesome farm stay hospitality made it all worthwhile.

May 2022 Fonthill Astronomy Weekend.

Members of the Society travelled from across the State for our Fonthill Farm Stay astronomy and star party weekend. There was a full program of daytime events, presentations and informal discussions followed by planned evening night sky tours, viewing and astro-imaging. The weather was not kind to us with all Friday evening viewing cancelled due to heavy cloud. Clear skies early on Saturday evening revealed the pristine dark skies and members thoroughly enjoyed their time under the stars. Unfortunately, the clouds rolled in late that evening, but despite this, the weekend was judged a success.

As usual our hosts excelled themselves with abundant healthy food, clean and comfortable accommodation and good cheer.
