Courses

The Society provides a range of astronomy courses aimed at introducing people to astronomy and related sciences. We aim to provide an engaging and inspiring experience for all participants, leading to an ongoing interest in our night sky and the world around us.

Our current courses include:

• Night Sky Explorer Course; an introduction to the wonders of the Tasmanian night sky.
• A Beginners Guide to Telescopes; a workshop for people thinking about their first telescope purchase.
• Setting Up and Using a Telescope Successfully; a workshop to help people get the most out of their telescope purchase.
• Tailored Courses: courses to meet the needs of individual groups.
